Microsoft Surface Pro 9 - 13 inches - Intel Core i7 - 16GB RAM/256GB SSD - Graphite

The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 is a slim and compact 2-in-1 laptop that allows me to multitask smoothly. I am particularly impressed by the speed and the good high-resolution touchscreen. A disadvantage is that the Surface Pro 9 has limited connections. I tested the i5/8GB/256GB Graphite version myself, in combination with the Type Cover and Surface Pen that you can order separately. Please note: the 2 accessories are not included as standard.

Fast Evo laptop The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 has received the Intel Evo label, which Intel gives to laptops that meet high requirements. Multitasking did indeed go smoothly on this laptop, thanks to the 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor. I can use all programs and tabs without any hiccups. The laptop is therefore powerful enough for programs such as Photoshop. For video editing, I recommend the version with an Intel Core i7 processor.

Clear touch screen The screen of this laptop has touch, so I can easily operate it with my fingers. Swiping, drawing and writing is very smooth due to the good sensors that pick up every touch. For example, for a Windows search I write the keyword in the search bar with my fingers. The screen of the Surface Pro 9 also has a high WQXGA resolution, which is similar to QHD and is about twice as sharp as Full HD. I notice this immediately when starting up the laptop. The screen looks very clear and sharper than I'm used to from my own Full HD laptop.

Handy for on the go Due to the 13-inch size and low weight, the laptop is ideal for on the go. It fits easily in my backpack and is also small enough to use on the train. The compact size also has a small drawback. The Surface Pro 9 doesn't have an HDMI port or USB-A connection. So I need a docking station to connect my monitor or USB-A mouse.

Type Cover and Surface Pen If you want to use the Surface Pro 9 as a real laptop with a keyboard, I recommend the Type Cover, which can be ordered separately. Thanks to the strong magnet, the keyboard folds smoothly to the screen. There is also space at the top of the keyboard for the Surface Pen, which you can also order. I find the Pen works very well with the touchscreen. Every touch is already noticed by the screen before I put the Pen on the screen.

Powerful and multifunctional device. In terms of performance, powerful enough for many applications, although better devices can be purchased for the same money, but the design/construction is worth the extra money. The Graphite version is vulnerable to visible scratches. This was less visible in an earlier titanium version. I wanted to give this consideration to a potential buyer.
