I'm not much of a techie and needed a box to connect my macbook air to two external screens. You can also charge the laptop at the same time. Does what he has to do. Could probably do more (many connections) but I don't use that

Unfortunately, when purchasing a completely new workstation, the older hub also had to be replaced. The price and beautiful design caught my eye on this copy and if it did what was described, this would have been a winner. Unfortunately this was not the case. At the moment I work with a Macbook Pro 16" M1 Max, 2 external AOC screens QHD and the latest 27" Wacom Cintiq Pro. I work directly on my external Samsung T7 HDD and backup my older work on an external Samsung T5 HDD. Control of all this is done via Apple Numeric Keyboard and a Logitech MX3. The intention was that all these devices would be neatly connected to the new hub and according to the specifications that should just all work. When I plugged it in I was asked to install a driver from Hyper itself and when it started it looked very Windows 98 with a large pixel logo on the external screen and a green/blue screen on my Wacom Cintiq. - After installing all cables, it was noticed that the 2nd screen (as described) only worked at 30Hz, but that the colors (as not described) looked very faded and dull compared to the other screen. Almost unusable. - The MX3 mouse showed cures by not moving anymore, the loss of the left mouse button function and lagging a lot. Even with an extra dongle this was not solved. - The Apple keyboard had a huge lag when typing and using shortcuts in Adobe Photoshop. - The Wacom Cintiq is the first drawing board with 120Hz speed. Only 60Hz was possible via this hub. - Macbook Pro screen had to serve as a mirror or be in clamshell mode because otherwise there would be even greater interferences in the input of the pen and/or mouse. Intuitively, it seemed to me that the USB hub simply lacked the sheer computing power to properly channel everything. It felt like an 'or' story and not an 'and', genre 'Either the two screens work, or the mouse and the drawing board.' For that reason, ordered a larger, heavier hub from Coolblue (Targus DV4K Docking Station with 100W Power) and it seems to work flawlessly with the system! No lag, perfect color reproduction, Wacom Cintiq at 120Hz and no hassle with Hyper driver software, just the well-known DisplayLink. That's why my humble advice: Just skip this one, pay a little more for the Targus DV4K DV4K Docking Station with 100W Power (also available on Coolblue) and save yourself a lot of hassle and frustration. A pleasant, smooth work routine pays back that small extra sum double and thick. Please note: With hubs like this, it is impossible to watch Netflix, Disney + and similar streaming services on your computer. This is because DisplayLink (and other software) are recognized as 'screen recording software' and therefore gives Netflix a black image against piracy.

I use the docking station alternately for my own MacBook and also for my client's Windows laptop. Switching between the two systems works perfectly.
