You can use the to connect a monitor and your most-used peripherals, like your mouse or keyboard. It also has a memory card reader, so you can easily transfer files to your laptop. The dock also charges your phone, so you never run out of battery while you're working. The Satechi Type-C Slim Multi-Port Adapter V2 Docking Station works on all Windows laptops and MacBook models with a USB-C port that transmit a video signal. This is how you can check if your laptop has a suitable USB-C port.

Not suitable for macbook pro M1

- keyboard doesn't work sometimes
This adapter did not work well on my Macbook pro M1; I use it together with a screen on HDMI and a wireless keyboard/mouse, sometimes it does not properly transmit the signals from the wireless keyboard connected to the USB. It also heats up well. She is now spare and I now use an Anker 7 in 1 which works flawlessly.

I bought this dock for my Microsoft Surface Pro because it only has 1x USB type A and C connection. The product does what it promises. It also has an HDMI output so you can connect a 2nd screen. Nice design and easy to carry. Highly recommended!
