The WD Red Plus WD40EFPX 4TB is optimized for NAS systems and is suitable for home users as well as small or medium-sized companies. Expand your NAS with this 3.5-inch hard drive and you can share your files with your devices at home or at the office in multiple RAID applications. You could use the Red Plus as a backup drive, something the base models aren't suitable for. With 4TB, you'll have enough storage capacity for 600 Full HD movies of 2 hours or 600,000 photos. Thanks to the built-in anti-vibration sensors, the drive lasts longer than a regular hard drive. With a rotation speed of 5400RPM, this drive is also energy-efficient. In addition, you can open frequently used files faster thanks to the 256MB cache memory. When you're not processing any files, the WD60EFPX lifts the read-write head from the disk. That way, it doesn't wear as fast, which makes the drive more durable.
