According to our monitor expert
You can game with smooth images on the AOC 24G2ZE/BK. That's because this 24-inch gaming monitor has a high refresh rate of 240Hz. Your characters and vehicles will move in a very realistic way thanks to this. The response time of only 0.5ms prevents motion blur. This means that games run smoothly and you can always outrun your opponent. Do you have an AMD video card? FreeSync Premium prevents screen tearing and compensates for the lower framerates. The small bezels allow you to easily place 2 or even 3 monitors next to each other for the ultimate gaming experience. Thanks to a coverage of 105% within the sRGB color profile, you can game with lively and realistic colors. The screen is properly visible in brightly lit rooms thanks to the high brightness up to 350 nits.

My first 240hz monitor and although the difference is not nearly as big as from 60hz to 144hz the difference is definitely there and I am happy with the choice for 240hz. I have no frame of reference for 240hz monitors, but monitors in general do. This monitor has buttons at the bottom of the monitor that do/change far too little. Doesn't add anything at all to such a menu and you may wonder why AOC keeps sticking to it. Software is available, G-MENU. G-menu is basically a 1 to 1 translation of what the buttons on your screen could do, with some extra options. The standard G-MENU software from AOC itself bugs like crazy. There is an alternative of portrait displays - with the same name, this one does work and through that way you can easily set color settings, bluelight filters, etc. Calibrating remains a drama with these monitors, regardless of brand/price range.

I bought the monitor purely because I wanted a 240hz display and I am very satisfied with it. Although the description says it is a TN sxherm, it is actually an IPS screen. This should look nicer, although I've never compared them myself. Standard is fine, but in hindsight I would opt for the 24G2ZU which is more adjustable. The menu operation consists of a number of buttons at the bottom. This is less convenient than the joystick control I'm used to, but yes.

This monitor is an upgrade from a slow, lagging 60Hz monitor. It is a very nice new gaming monitor that runs very smoothly and improves my speed and responsiveness. I do find changing the image settings such as color very slow and clumsy. The buttons are unintuitive. If you don't see a refresh rate above 120Hz on NVIDIA settings, you'll need to scroll down until you find a list of "PC". There you can select 240Hz. (If you don't understand me then you should use google :))
