EZVIZ RE5 Plus

The Ezviz RE5 Plus is a handy household helper that cleans my floors neatly. Thanks to the automatic emptying station, I have to do even less myself. This makes it clean more independently.

Automatic emptying station This robot vacuum cleaner has an automatic emptying station. This means that the robot independently returns to the base station when its built-in dust bin is full. This means that the robot does not interrupt its cleaning round. Handy, because it also cleans thoroughly when I am not at home. The dust bag is large and closes itself when I change it. This means that no dust is released and all the dirt ends up neatly in the trash can.

Cleaning result This robot vacuum cleaner also has a mopping function. It first vacuums up hair, crumbs and dust. Then it drags the mop cloth over the floor. I set the amount of water the mop uses via the app. This way I determine how thoroughly the robot mops. However, this robot vacuum cleaner does not remove stubborn stains from the floor as well. The robot has a wet mop cloth, not rotating mop brushes. For this I still use a mop every now and then. When the robot drives over my carpet, I hear that it automatically increases the suction power. Handy, because it also sucks the crumbs out of the carpet. The robot cleans neatly by combining vacuuming and mopping. The robot does have a somewhat lower suction power than other top-class robots, but I think that is logical for this price range. Because of this I use the vacuum cleaner more often.

Smart functions and app I notice that the robot finds its way through my house easily and quickly. Because of this it also quickly creates a map. Via this map I can choose where and when the robot cleans in the app. This way I can easily choose a cleaning routine that suits me best. With no-go zones I set where the robot is not allowed to go, for example. I also choose different cleaning routines. For example, I let the robot vacuum the kitchen more often, because the floor gets dirty there a bit faster.
