Description
The Elgato Wave XLR can do the job of several audio appliances and combines functions that you won't find in conventional audio interfaces. The Clipguard technology prevent distortion. You can use the button to mute different audio channels. You can also use this Wave XLR in combination with Wave Link mixing software. With 75dB ultra-low-noise gain, even the most insensitive microphones sound loud and clear. The 48V phandom power brings the condenser microphones to life and the 2 switchable high pass filters let you remove low frequencies for microphone positions up close and far away. You can replace the front panel and the dial if you want a different design. This Wave XLR is a compact USB interface that gives your microphone super powers.

Great solution if you want to use an XLR condenser microphone that requires a preamp (48 Volt phantom power supply). I myself use the Rode Broadcaster. Previously I used a mixer, a Preamp (microphone preamplifier) and a compressor limiter (for internet radio Station) Total value ex microphone approx. € 2,500.00 Lots of cables needed. And the adjustment is complicated for a layman. However, I now only use the microphone for my YouTube channel, given the superb sound quality. Can't beat a Yeti etc. The sound quality of the microphone via the Elgato Wave XLR is not inferior to the hardware as mentioned above. However, relatively a lot cheaper and easy to set up. The clip function works great.
