Miele Duoflex HX1 Cat & Dog

This is and remains a stick vacuum cleaner, which comes with its shortcomings, mainly in the battery area. The 55 minutes listed here (and everywhere) are misleading!! This only applies when you use the vacuum cleaner as a petty thief without accessories and on the lowest setting. In that mode, the suction power is extremely low, and no one will use the vacuum cleaner like that. With normal use the battery only lasts 15 - 20 minutes. However, during normal use the vacuum cleaner sucks properly. Apart from the battery life, it is a great vacuum cleaner that does its job well.

After much deliberation and searching the internet, we opted for the Miele HX1 Cat & Dog. Due to good experiences with other Miele items, I ultimately opted for this device. After a week of use, we can wholeheartedly say that we are very satisfied with the use and operation of the device. We take this device out of the cupboard much faster than an 'old-fashioned' vacuum cleaner to vacuum everything clean. With a cat (hair) and a son playing football (sand, artificial grass granules), our walk-in mat needs a vacuuming day in and day out. It is very nice that the device itself recognizes the surface and then goes completely 'loose' on the mat. The mat has never been so clean. This was noticeable when we used the device on the mat for the first time. Mountains of sand and hair filled the reservoir. If we had to mention a downside it would be the weight. But it is logical that it is heavier than an 'old-fashioned' normal vacuum cleaner. Then the weight is on the ground and you only carry the rod/hose, while with the stick vacuum cleaner you carry the entire device. In short: we are satisfied! Miele, there is none better! ;-)

If you had a vacuum cleaner with a cord before, an HX1 is very mobile, quick to grab and you can get into every nook and cranny. The reservoir could be a bit larger, you should empty it after every vacuuming. Must become routine.
