The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR is a versatile zoom lens, which you can capture wide landscapes and high buildings with. With the wide image angle, you can photograph a special mountainous landscape on vacation, for example. The built-in image stabilization reduces motion blur by up to 5 stops. That way, you can take sharp photos with a slower shutter speed. When you record with the lens, the image stabilization ensures smooth images without shakiness. Thanks to the short 19cm focal distance, you can take close-up photos of your subject. You can capture the details of a flower, for example. The lens has a silent autofocus motor, so you can record videos effortlessly. You don't hear any unwanted noises in your recording. This lens is suitable for Nikon APS-C mirrorless cameras with a Z-mount.

When you need more than standard wide angle

Beautiful interior photos can be taken. The 16-50mm lens does not have a wide angle for that. If necessary, you can correct the lens distortion in Photoshop (Elements): menu Filter -> correct camera distortion. It was a disappointment that I had to buy this lens. I expected the 16-50mm lens to have a large enough lens, but unfortunately you have to multiply the "16mm" by 1.5 in 3:2 DFX format and then you only have 24mm wide angle, which is no better than standard wide angle. So this 12mm lens also does not score more wide angle than an 18mm standard. But that is just that extra bit of wide angle that you often need.
