EufyCam 3 3-pack + HomeBase 3

• The image quality is very disappointing, 4K sounds nice, but due to the high compression and poor camera quality, the end result is much lower than what is achievable with 1080, or even old DVD quality.
• The AI is said to be self-learning and learns to know faces, but even after a week it is confusing me (an adult man of 1.92, dark hair and a beard) with my blond son of 3!!!! I have plenty of comparison material, including Google Nest, that facial recognition really works much better!!
• It is not possible in the software to only receive notifications when an unknown person is seen, the system can provide notifications when seeing a person, not more specific, so recognizing entire faces is only useful if you want to look back to see see who did what where, but it is pointless with regard to notifications because I don't need a notification from my wife or children in the driveway every minute.

-Late last night I received a notification from the Eufy app that they have new products for sale, so they woke me up with a notification on the Eufy security app on my phone to advertise! Notifications on my phone are strictly only on for telephone , SMS, doorbell and movement in the driveway, Eufy therefore abuses the ability to send notifications via their security app to promote their own products, you cannot specifically turn this off, but you can turn off the notifications for the entire Eufy app to prevent this, but then I miss the doorbell or movement in the driveway…. This advertising message was the last straw for me, they will get it back.

Cameras hung up a week ago, fixed in no time. Very positive about the possibilities of institutions. Some settings are still in beta phase, such as recognizing pets, you will notice that, I have not yet been able to scan a cat in the garden while they are actually walking there, but that was not the main reason for purchasing. People recognition works very well. You have to make sure that the distance from the camera to the subject is too great, better hang the camera within about 4 meters for the best result. The system also works via WiFi (some report here that this is not the case), but then you have to take a good look at the settings in the camera. This may not be clearly stated in the booklets, but after you have set it up via LAN, you can disconnect it and connect it to the WiFi.

Super cameras! Was curious about the range in a well-insulated new-build home. This exceeds my expectations! The homebase is also nice and small and is central to my living room. 1 front camera at a distance of 5 meters from the homebase and the other at the back at a distance of almost 20 meters. Both cameras work perfectly! And the AI is also very useful with regard to facial recognition.
