Description
The Ubiquiti UniFi USW-PRO-48-POE is a business switch that's suitable for medium-sized to large companies. This switch has 48 network connectors and 4 SFP+ ports for fiber connection, for example. Of these, 40 connectors are suitable for PoE+ and 8 ports are suitable for PoE++. Thanks to the power of PoE++, you can also power a Ubiquiti security camera, for example, via the network cable. This is in addition to access points or phones. The switch has a total PoE power of 600W, so you can connect multiple PoE devices effortlessly. Thanks to the Ubiquiti UniFi Controller, you can manage all UniFi switches and access points in your network from the same screen. This way, you can prioritize specific network traffic, for example.

Meanwhile, on to the third generation of Ubiquity products. Since the switch to Unifi 3 years ago I am very satisfied with the stability and performance. The transition from USG-Pro + 16 port switch to the UDM Pro and this Pro 24-POE went smoothly. I had prepared for the worst based on some configuration hassles in the past. But this migration went smoothly in the end. The speed, silence, lower heat production and PoE++ (for the cameras) are more than worth the upgrade. I have the complete set in the meter cupboard and the difference in sound production is enormous. This switch is really whisper quiet.
