Before I bought the lock I had contact with the helpdesk. That was nice. They responded quickly and gave clear answers. For example, I discussed with the lock whether the lock is suitable for self check-in. It was already clear to me that a user had to install the app and create an account or that the guest could enter a PIN. Installation was easy, I had everything up and running quickly and after some instruction the children could also open the door by turning the knob. Automatic opening also works well, you must have been more than 200 meters from your door. Giving guests access is simple, the app then sends a link by text message to install the app. However, this process is too extensive for a visitor to a holiday home who is not familiar with this lock. You must enter both your mobile number and your email and both must be verified. In addition, a password has to be created and a few choices have to be made for location determination, etc. Not surprising if you are going to use this lock as a regular, but for occasionally too complicated. It raises too many questions. Alternatively, there is the PIN code. I've had a number of people try the pin code after reading a written instruction and showing them an instructional movie from bold and no one got it right the first time. It's not nice if you can't open the door of your holiday home after a long journey. A lock that works with a code panel is much more convenient.
