Description

This Jalo Kupu White 6-pack includes 6 smoke detectors that combine functionality and design. The smoke detectors detect smoke and still look nice thanks to the satin fabric. You can attach the smoke detectors to the ceiling with the included tape. That means you don't have to drill holes into your ceiling. You can easily turn off the smoke detector with one push of a button. When the sensor detects smoke, it emits an 85dB signal. The smoke detectors don't need any cables to function. They're powered by 3 batteries each (included) with a lifespan of 10 years.

Nice smoke detector

Since I had to go through a huge struggle to get the battery out of my previous smoke alarm and I tore the case out of frustration from the ceiling and messed up the balcony, where a kind and strong gentleman with difficulty freed the battery, I am now so happy with my Jalo Kupu and the idea of being free from annoying and infuriating beeps for ten years! Hurrah!

Nice design, very difficult to activate and hang.

To activate the Jalo you have to press and turn the mounting plate. This is very difficult and is almost impossible to do by hand. If you do not turn the plate far enough, the fire detector will NOT be activated. The manual says you should hear a click, but you don't hear it. So it can just happen that you hang it up and it is not activated. When activated correctly, a red LED lights up regularly. When hanging with screws, you have to be very careful that it hangs nicely parallel to the wall, you won't be bothered with a round fire detector. The piece of 3m hanging tape for the attachment is very small and it is actually not recommended to attach it to a non-100% smooth surface.

I find this smoke detector more beautiful than all other smoke detectors and less disturbing. It is also nice that the light is not so bright and does not blink so quickly. The sound is just fine. A point of attention is the installation with adhesive tape. To activate the smoke detector, you must screw it firmly onto the base. If the base is secured with screws this is not a problem, but with tape there is a chance that the base will come loose. In that case, it is better to screw the smoke detector onto the base first and then stick the detector and base together.
