- 5 carbon monoxide detectors
A carbon monoxide detector, also known as a co-detector, detects toxic, odorless, tasteless and colorless carbon monoxide. Do not confuse a CO alarm with a CO2 alarm. CO2 is not carbon monoxide, but carbon dioxide. With a dangerous CO concentration, the detector gives a loud message and thus prevents possible CO poisoning. Make sure you always place the CO detector at eye level and not on the ceiling. Carbon monoxide remains at eye level and does not rise. In addition, never place the carbon monoxide detector further than 1.5 meters from the source where carbon monoxide leakage may occur.
