Unnecessary stored and collected paper cleaned up. First had a somewhat cheaper paper shredder. Now I notice the difference and I know what I've been fiddling with in recent years. Good investment and very happy with it!

I bought this device for archive destruction at home. The device does what it should do, and is satisfactory for this price, but the quality could be slightly better. The shredder roller with the blades will eventually fill with scraps of paper, and when emptying the collection bin, this paper can come loose and the floor will be full of shreds. As soon as you start feeding more than 6 sheets at the same time, you will hear how the device is already under heavy load. The device heats up and can also temporarily fail thermally. After cooling it can be used again. It is also important to feed the sheets of paper correctly vertically, so that feeding is not hindered and the paper is not wrinkled and pulled violently through the machine. Despite the online statement that this device can also process staples and paperclips, the device itself indicates with symbols that this is NOT allowed !!! Nor may cards or CDs be destroyed.

It does what it's supposed to do and it's sturdy. Certainly not too loud. Too bad you have a separate on/off switch and then another push button to turn it on. Only leaving the switch on ensures that a blue LED continues to flash non-stop, but the device does not yet work. Annoying when it's in your sight. When you turn it on with the push button, it stays on constantly. My 'old' device was always 'on', without unnecessary lights.
