Description

The Netatmo Smart Smoke Detector warns you when it detects smoke via the app on your smart device. If you connect the smoke detector to your router, you're always aware of danger at home or at the office. You also get a notification indoors. You can hear the sound of the detector on the floor where it's mounted. The included battery lasts up to 10 years, so you're set for a while. If the battery is almost empty, the smoke detector notifies you with an audio signal. This way, you know when to replace the smoke detector right away. So you'll never be in for any unpleasant surprises.

The Netatmo smart smoke detectors are compatible with Apple HomeKit and IFTTT.

Good app, easy installation, just as good as Nest.

The installation of the smoke detectors is going well. The app is user-friendly. You do have to create an account to use it, but afterwards you can install the app on multiple smartphones, so everyone in the family can be kept informed. You can test your smoke detectors via the app to see if they make noise. You can also drop off via the smartphone, then you don't have to take a ladder to get to the button, easy. We have installed 3 smoke detectors, 1 on each floor. Upstairs there is little WiFi range, but that is absolutely no problem for this smoke detector, it works fine! Hopefully they never go off :)

Smoke detector that can do more than just beep

  • Easy to install via app
  • Link to Hue lighting using IFTTT
  • Testing whether the smoke detector works together Hue cannot do without real smoke...
Although pricey for a smoke detector. I like the idea of also being notified of smoke when you are not at home and if you are at home, turn on all Hue lamps so that visibility may be improved with a lot of smoke.
