• Pretty decent deep fryer.

-Specific recess to empty the tub is not provided; recess heating element is not more practical than corner. However, if you pour smoothly into, for example, a large measuring cup of 2 liters, it is no problem.

• Basket is NOT dishwasher safe! Where does Coolblue get that? Isn't the first time that I find a mistake on the site, reporting is not obvious, done 1x but without consequence?! The manual clearly states: "NEVER clean the basket in the dishwasher". Also logical, is not stainless steel, chromed or something like that. Stainless steel basket was applicable to our old deep fryer, however I went to see it in a large store and nowadays it turns out to be a chrome basket for all models and price ranges?! Unfortunately, it is not really dishwasher safe.

-Note: if you attach great importance to containers with lids, then you may want to look for more expensive models; usually also has anti-fog function? In other words, if you use 100% cooking oil with anti-foaming agent, there is no problem. For example, if you mix oil with oil/coconut that does not contain an anti-foaming agent, you will get a foam head that does not overflow without using the lid, BUT it does if you use the lid!! The foam formed, under the influence of back pressure on the lid, then overflows via the heating element, downwards along the heating unit. However, this does not entail any (electrical) danger, only a puddle of oil under the device and a greasy heating unit. -If you have a good hood, you can also bake without a lid, there may be a splash on the display, but it's not that bad, just wipe it with kitchen roll. -Cleaning the tub is very easy, just wipe it out and put it in the dishwasher. -Hardest is the heating element exposed in oil, although common weak point of cold zone fryers. It does depend on how thermostat is attached. To clean all dirt residues you should in theory disconnect the thermostat and cables. Another downside with a naked heating element is that oil quickly forms a brown film on the heating element. Is very difficult to remove with normal soapy water, even with soda soap it hardly works. Next time I'll try my BioMix 7in1 or pure Feem super degreaser (with high molecular weight), if that doesn't work either I have to buy Fritel degreaser, although at first sight/smell a similar product.
