Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 HX9914/57

Broken after a year.

The sonicare DiamondClean 9000 is an electric toothbrush that you can connect to your phone via an app. Unfortunately you are required to create an account. Since I'm not a fan of this, I interrupted the registration for a while to complete my registration later. This did not work and I was therefore unable to use the app. When I first wanted to use the toothbrush, I was shocked by the vibration, it is enormous, even on the softest setting. In my opinion this was very unpleasant. 1 of my front teeth remained a bit sensitive after a root canal treatment, it was not a nice feeling when I brushed over my tooth with this hard vibration. Because of the same vibrations I also got a kind of itching in/on my mouth and the inside of my cheeks .. after brushing a few times this became less. With a round brush head I understand its function, it rotates so that the teeth become clean. The diamondclean brush head is rectangular and gives off vibrations, how the teeth are cleaned so well is unknown to me. After brushing I did have the feeling that I had wonderfully clean teeth, but not necessarily cleaner than with another electric toothbrush. The charging system differs from other charging systems. This in a positive way. All in all, I personally wouldn't choose this toothbrush over any other. Looking at the price, it is not an 'just' an expense for most people with an average income.

When using the Philips toothbrush for the first time, the experience was immediately great. By connecting to your phone you get a lot of information about your brushing performance. In the app you can find many tips and tricks on how to brush properly. Due to the sleek design and the cool color, the brush is one that stands out. What also stood out was the noise that is produced when brushing on the hardest setting. In addition, the tray in which you can store the brush when you travel is of cheap quality and fragile. The different brushing programs ensure that you can brush properly to the desired result that you want to achieve. Whether this is whitening teeth or just a thorough brushing. In the app you can also keep track of how many times your brush attachment remains good, as soon as it is worn, the app will indicate this and you can easily order new ones. The downside is that they are quite pricey. The brush contains a pressure sensor. As soon as you are brushing too hard, the brush will let you know by means of a. another vibration. After three weeks of brushing I am very satisfied and I also notice that there is more motivation to brush my teeth more often. Recommended if you also have to brush more from the dentist!
