According to our projector expert
With the Samsung The Premiere LSP7T, you no longer have to go to the cinema. The projector has a 4K UHD resolution, so you can see even the smallest details clearly. The HDR support and high contrast ratio contribute to subtle color differences and an intense reproduction of realistic, bright colors. The Premiere LSP7T has smart functions that let you start a Netflix movie or YouTube video in no time. With the built-in AirPlay 2, you can easily stream movies, music, or programs from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The projector has 4 settings that are specially designed for different situations. The Dynamic Mode is a mode with a high brightness that you can turn on when you watch a movie during the day, while the Filmmaker Mode displays the realistic image that the director had in mind.
With a light output of 2200 ANSI lumens, projections in medium-sized rooms like living rooms and small halls are sharpest with the lighting turned off. Thanks to the ultra short throw function, the projector projects images of up to 120 inches or a diagonal of about 3m on the wall from a distance of 30cm. The projector has a laser light source, which makes it last longer on average than a projector with a light bulb as light source. Do you want to view images with the LSP7T by day? Use a CLR fixed frame screen. A CLR fixed frame screen filters ambient light, so you enjoy sharp images with high contrast.

Introduction: As a lucky tester I was selected to test the Samsung the Première model: LSP7T. I initially test the Projector in the living room and at a later stage in the attic (man cave). The reason that the projector was tested in two places is because the first projector I received had a technical defect, so after replacement I chose to perform the second test in the attic. This review contains the following elements: assessing user experience, assessing image and sound quality of films and series via various sources, including Netflix, Disney plus and Amazon prime. Reviewing 2160p content via an external source such as Playstation 5 and via the internal USB port of the beamer. Installation: The party could start after the package was delivered with the unpacking of the box, for this a user manual was made available that was easy to follow. Installing and setting up this setup does require a bit more attention and time than a traditional projector, where you hang or place a traditional projector and then set the focus, size and keystone correction with a physical dial and push buttons, this will be quite different with an ultra short throw (UST) projector. You set this type of beamer in size by moving the device an x number of centimeters from or to the wall. When you have reached the desired size you will have to click the focus option in the menu software and configure it further here. If you opt for a UST projector, there is currently no option for keystone correction, so the beamer must be really perpendicular to the wall. If you choose to project directly onto the wall, the wall must be perpendicular without irregularities. You can also choose to project on a projection screen fabric, this is preferred because the image is sharper, but the larger the screen, the higher the costs. First impression: The Samsung projector stands and looks chic, has a glossy white housing, rounded shapes and a light gray fabric front. To see the difference clearly, I projected the Samsung projector and my old beamer right next to the wall. I can only say that I almost fell over with surprise in terms of the difference, the LSP7T is many times brighter / sharper and more colorful than the old beamer and this without the Samsung projector being configured except for the focus at the moment. Initially project in directly onto the wall without a projection canvas on the largest possible diameter of 120 inches. In this setup you do sacrifice space in the room because the front of the beamer is in its entirety +/- 70 centimeters away from the wall. If you choose to project smaller, the beamer is closer to the wall. Connections: The beamer is equipped with almost every conceivable connection that you could need at the moment. 3x HDMI of which 1x HDMI ARC. 1x USB 2.0, Satellite connection, Digital audio output (optical), Ethernet LAN RJ-45, Wifi chip (802.11g,n), (802.11ac Wifi 5), and also Bluetooth, but I have not been able to find out which version. I am also surprised about the choice of USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0 In terms of power consumption, USB 3.0 is much more efficient compared to USB 2.0, USB 3.0 devices supply more power to the gadgets and save power when the device is inactive which means that if you forget to take the usb stick out of the projector, it stays on continuously even when the projector is on standby, this seriously shortens the life of the usb stick and usb port. Better transfer rates with USB 3.0 allow for high bandwidth devices such as high resolution video streaming, not that I noticed much of this in practice the picture quality of the content was still very good quality. The sound: What immediately struck me was the sound, with my current beamer it produces a kind of cookie tin-like sound, but here the sound was full. Not only high tones, but also the midrange was perfectly fine, and in combination with the low tones, the sound is just good, making the sound sound like a small soundbar. You should not expect a cinema sound that makes the house vibrate, but I myself have never had to set the volume above 40%. Operating System The easiest answer would be to say that it is a custom operating system developed by Samsung. It's open source so developers are free to use it and develop apps for it, although it's pretty much just Samsung developing everything for the end user. As an ordinary user, you will not notice this quickly because most well-known apps such as Netflix, Youtube ect are available, but when you are a little more familiar with the different operating systems on the market, you will soon notice that the Tizen OS is not as versatile as Android TV OS, there are far fewer apps available and the setting options are more limited. It is also not possible to install APK files on this operating system. For example, in the Youtube app you cannot directly search for something with speech, as it does with Android TV immediately, you will first have to press the speech button in the Youtube app and then hold down the physical button on the remote control until you have finished leave a message, only after this will we proceed to your search query. Samsung has created a interface to the Android ecosystem via Samsung Smartthings, which makes management and control a little easier, so you can connect and operate the projector from the Google Home app. You can also operate the beamer via the Smartthings app and you could omit the remote control if you wish. Casting and media player The Samsung premiere features Airplay 2, so you can effortlessly cast from Apple devices on the big screen. Unfortunately, the beamer does not have a built-in Chromecast, so that you cannot cast directly on the big screen with other Android (not Samsung) devices. The beamer does have Tab View so that you can only mirror the contents of your phone with your phone on the side of the projector, this only works with Samsung Galaxy phones that run on Android 8.1 and higher, some caution is necessary here recommended to avoid damage to both devices. The Samsung beamer easily plays various video formats such as .mkv via the USB ports. gaming: On a rainy day I decided to go gaming. The setup is as follows, Playstation 5, i.c.w. HDMI 2.1 cable to HDMII port 1 on the projector. Game: Assassin's Creed Valhalla - 4K 60fps. Initially I played the game for about 30 minutes on standard mode, it all ran very smoothly and input lag was almost undetectable. after this the mode changed to game mode in the projector settings and the difference in combination with the game was nil in my opinion. Still, I did an inputlag test and the results are as follows. Format: Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Milliseconds Standard Mode: 00:00:00:33 Game Mode: 00:00:00:19 Conclusion: After looking at this gigantic format for a few weeks, I don't want anything else. However, I must say that the brightness of the projector during the day is not that great, viewing content is possible, but the wow effect is only visible in complete darkness. Because of this, I think 2200 ANSI Lumen is on the low side for daytime use. With this type of device, take your furniture arrangement into account. The furniture on which the beamer stands must be stable and straight and if it can be heavy enough that it is difficult to move it. With me, the beamer was on a coffee table that I had renamed beamer furniture, it would have been fine if I lived alone, but with children and a partner who continuously move through the house, the table moved a few centimeters from its place each time, for example by vacuuming. after this the set-up & adjustment process could start again every 2 days. As indicated earlier, I first projected the beamer directly onto the wall, which already delivered fantastic image quality, after replacing the device due to a technical defect, I continued the test in the attic, but this time with projector cloth. The difference with and without the canvas is astonishing, which is why a projection screen is recommended. The screen I got is borderless and about 90 inches in diameter, this was slightly smaller than the setup in the living room directly on the wall, Downstairs the diameter was 120 inches (maximum) and it was really a cinema experience in terms of image. In my opinion, The Samsung Premiere LSP7T is really a product that can fulfill the dreams of many film enthusiasts, it is a pleasure every time movies are viewed from the beamer.

Bought The Premiere without hesitation. I didn't want a TV myself and came up with this device as an alternative. It has exceeded all expectations. Installation is very simple. Set up an 8K nature film from Youtube in no time. What an image. The animals were visible in detail and that on an image of almost 3 meters. Of course also set up a real movie. During the film I really had a cinema feeling. The sound is also better than I expected. If you want to mention a disadvantage is the hum of the beamer. It is present but not disturbing to me. You don't hear that anymore when setting up a movie :)
