DJI FPV Combo

I am in possession of quite a few Dji products, and I do not regret any purchase in itself, although this is not low budget, but really good value for money (price quality top) also the service and support of Dji is top , always take Dji-care for 1 year, I only needed it once, but also helps me to fly with more confidence...

regarding this model in particular (Dji FPV) actually I was thinking about delving into the FPV story, but I never got around to it because a lot of research and time goes into building a good fpv drone, and if you want everything in reasonable quality (transmitter, motors, frame, escs, fpv camera, fpv goggles and transmitter) you will definitely go over the price of this dji fpv) then you may have a slightly better sportier drone but for sure not the top fpv goggles (1080p) in addition, you make "chunks" when learning, and with this system the chance is smaller, emergency brake, landing assistance, etc etc.....

I bought this via Coolblue, WHY, simple: ordered before 12 noon, flying the next day, and at the same price as on the dji website... (I did buy the fly-more combo via dji, because it doesn't was available at Coolblue...)

Fast, very fast. The installation is simple, and can be done without a manual. Activating with the App is a hell of a job, part of the App is even Chinese. I reinstalled the App 3 times, installed the wrong App at least 5 times and eventually even installed the desktop version. Finally got it going though I still don't know how. Google refers you to DJI forums where people have problems but DJI never comes up with a solution.

Please note that the range stated in the manual (10 km) is not realistic. In addition, the connection to obstacles (for example a building) is extremely poor. Of course, according to the rules, it is necessary that there is a Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) at all times, but for FPV there must also be a spotter because you cannot keep a VLOS yourself while wearing the Goggles. I recommend flying only in open environments where there are no obstructions between you and the drone, as I almost went into a slump on my first day because the connection went down while passing under a bridge.

Points of attention regarding the App. The Virtual DJI app for practicing without actually flying is not yet available for Android at the time of writing. When you start the DJI Fly App you can choose from 3 models where the FPV is not included. Ignore this, leave the App on and start the Goggles, the Drone and the Remote. When everything is started, the App will automatically show a different screen. Once you've flown, you don't need the App anymore unless you want someone to watch on your phone screen.

Currently, you cannot order the DJI FPV fly more package on any reliable website. If you put your drone in S or M mode, you will have to reconnect it to the charger after 5 minutes of flying.

Despite these drawbacks, I am still very satisfied. The thing gives beautiful images through the glasses and gives a kind of "Out of body" experience. It's like you're really flying, and especially when you go a little lower the speed is great. Goosebumps when you first start up the drone and welcome you with otherworldly sounds, goosebumps again when you first activate sport mode and the high-pitched scream of the accelerating propellers invades your ear or you press the pause button at high speed.
