According to our PC speaker expert
The Edifier R1855DB Multimedia PC Speaker is a stereo speaker set with a total output capacity of 70 watts. You can connect the speakers to your smartphone, TV, or laptop via Bluetooth. This allows you to control your music from a distance and you don't have to stay next to the speakers. Thanks to the buttons on the side of the speaker, you have everything within reach to adjust the volume and amount of bass in your music. Prefer to control the volume from your armchair? Use the included remote and comfortably keep seated.

In my situation, space has to be used well, preferably without compromising on (sound) quality. This set from Edifier is compact, delivers rich tones, a lot of depth and offers the possibility to connect an optical cable. The option to expand the set with a subwoofer is also present, which I think is a very strong move in this already good sounding set.

For this amount of speakers you get a great set of speakers with good sound quality, beautiful and pure sound. The difference with the R1850db is, among other things, the Edifier R1855DB has a new solid remote control, bluetooth 5 (better quality audio). My previous 5.1 consisted of a spaghetti of cables, this set has fewer cables/speakers but sounds better than the old 5.1 set.

Provides nice sound with more than enough power to fill chambers. You discover so much more in the music than your 2.1 set at the PC while playing the same medium. It's also nice that the bass and treble can be controlled on the speaker. Are almost too powerful for a living room of 25m², but of course it doesn't have to be at full volume (although that's nice). Remote control could have been given a little more attention, feels very cheap when you compare with the speakers, but it is very handy and does everything it is supposed to do. Thus the internet seems to be that cable between the speaker is typical for the brand. It's an old-fashioned type. Can be found shorter on Ebay, for example, but it just works fine so shorter is not necessary either
