After cooking on gas all our lives, we have now made the choice to cook electric. With a view to sustainable, off gas and with the rising gas price, this is not a superfluous luxury. The plate is really of traditional Dutch quality, very solid and safe, the model VKI5510ZWA with a width of 55 cm is nice and compact and can be placed on any gas stove. Installation is super simple, unpack, install, remove the foil from the glass plate, remove the sticker, plug in the socket, that's it. Then you press the On button 1 time, a beep sounds and the appliance is on, you choose the zone where your pan is located, with the + (higher) or - (lower) you indicate the position where 1 is the lowest setting and 9 the highest position. The plate then heats up automatically and you are cooking immediately. Great, easy and simple. You can do this for every zone. If you want to use the Timer for cooking, this is also very simple, follow the steps in the manual and you will get it done in no time. My 70-year-old mother uses it with ease, of course everything is new in the beginning, are you playing and seeing which position is best, or you sometimes touch buttons and nothing happens but you learn quickly and then you notice soon how it works and how it should be. We should have done this years ago. What a convenience. When we cook, everything tastes nice and pure, and we are also off gas and working sustainably. It couldn't be better. Don't hesitate, do it.
