  • View your 4K recordings while you're recording them.
  • The screen has a 10-stop dynamic range, so your recordings are displayed clearly.
  • Thanks to the screen's backlight, you can even watch the footage in daylight.
  • The file size of your videos will increase if you use this 10-bit external monitor.

Description

The Atomos Ninja V is a recording monitor used to make uncompressed 4K recordings at 60 frames per second. You mount the screen on your SLR or mirrorless camera. The monitor lets you make optimal use of your camera's sensor. You can also use it as a recording monitor when streaming your video games. The large 10-stop dynamic range ensures that the image is clear. You can view the footage on the 5-inch screen afterwards. Thanks to the screen's backlight, you can watch the footage in daylight as well. Your recordings are stored on an SSD in RAW format with an HDMI 2.0 cable. This gives you access to high-quality footage, making it easier to edit. You can easily bring the screen with you in your bag, thanks to the compact size.

Absolute top quality in a nice compact cabinet that is per

  • Perfect monitor/recorder for smaller systems
  • Many options for a competitive price
  • Absolute top quality image
  • No HDMI cables are included

Lots of options for filmmakers and vloggers. Maybe not very cheap, but you do get a lot for your money, despite the lack of necessary accessories such as an SSD, the necessary HDMI cables and a battery if you want to use it on the go.

Sublime

  • Compact
  • Razor-sharp image
  • Extremely bright (outdoor)
  • Few recording codecs

What a wonderful recorder to expand my Sony A7s! Possibility of 4k recording on nice affordable SSDs. Even possibility to start recording on recorder and camera at the same time, so always a backup during recording which gives extra peace of mind on important shooting days. Definitely recommended for this price, even if it was only a monitor, the price was still favorable compared to the competition!

Great, but needs extras before you can start

  • Compact
  • False colors
  • External recording
  • You still need a lot of accessories

I love it, but you need to keep in mind you still need a ton of extras before you can even get started. (Yes, get started, I'm not talking about fancy sunshades or screenprotectors). And it's not just a cheap cable, it's a few hundred bucks worth of accessories. Things I personally bought extra to combine it with my A7III: - Sony 1TB SSD - HDMI to HDMI micro - 2x NP-F970 batteries - Smallrig coldshoe mount
