TomTom GO Essential 6 Europe

After a positive first impression, the tomtom disappoints during a long holiday trip. Things that I dismissed as unfamiliar with the device at first impression turn out to be hugely disappointing in daily use.

The main flaw is that it is very difficult to fix the tom tom in the holder. You think it is well confirmed. But that appears to be. After using the device for a month, it is still a gamble whether it is actually clicked properly. What a difference with my previous more expensive tom-toms. It really takes a lot of time and effort. And is regularly negatively surprised that the device is still loose. 2nd downside is that the charging cord has to go directly into the back of the device. This is so inconvenient that you won't quickly remove the device if you've parked somewhere. You only do that in very unsafe neighborhoods. Because you often have to plug the cord into the connection, there is a good chance that the connection will fit worse in the long run. More expensive models have the charging cord in the holder. This prevents play at the connection.

The directions are clear and I like it very much. Strangely enough, the male voice sometimes changes its type. The place at departure is different from that of the escort. This arose after we briefly set up Eva as an accompanying voice. In hindsight, I should have chosen a device with a different confirmation. The price will also be higher. Or the screen smaller

It's a nice big screen

Only drove a few short routes but that went pretty well. Already found 3 places that map knew nothing about while those roundabouts have been there for at least a year. I find it annoying. Just bought a new one because the old one was dated.
