be quiet! Dark Rock 4

This Dark Rock 4 may not be the cheapest in the wide range of air cooling fans, but it is one of the best. With its black exterior, superior cooling performance and quiet profile, it ticks all the necessary requirements for me. Installation of this black stone (sounds a bit less sexy in Dutch) is relatively easy and comes with various 'support brackets' for both Intel and AMD platform. Unfortunately, the supplied fan is not RGB and that can be a loss for many in 2018. Attaching the fan can be a challenge. This is mainly because the mounting mechanism is under the fan, meaning that you first have to attach the cooling block to your motherboard and only then can you attach the fan. In normal computer cases this shouldn't be a problem, but I worked in a mini-atx case (Inwin A1) and that was a bit too small. With a healthy portion of patience it worked and it was more than worth it! The Dark Rock 4 cools like a beast, even during very hot days (36 degrees) and intensive use (Adobe After Effects & video encoding) my CPU, a Ryzen 2700x, didn't get hotter than 70 degrees(!). The great thing about this whole thing; I haven't heard the fan the whole time, it just stays neatly quiet. It seems... Black Magic.

My recent PC upgrade to a Ryzen 7 2700x came out of the case with quite a bit of noise... The cause was the standard CPU cooler (with circus LEDs) that came out of the box with the Ryzen. Because I was immensely annoyed by this, I was looking for a quiet, solid cooling solution, which did not make a PC look like a rising F16. That is why we started looking for a worthy and quieter solution. Dark Rock 4 ordered, neatly delivered the next day, and installed in fifteen minutes! BeQuiet does not disappoint me in this! The CPU stays +/- 5°C cooler under full load, and the PC stays neatly 'Quiet'. Make sure to check whether your case has enough space to store the cooler, because the tower that comes on your CPU is quite high (16 cm). However, this was not an issue for me! Really the best upgrade (after my CPU) of the PC!

It is a quiet cooler that is large, but not too large, which cools well.
