Logitech Circle 2 Wired

After my Logi Circle was destroyed in a burglary, I just bought this Circle 2. This camera has 1080p HD image and 180° viewing angle, but it loses its magnetic base and its 3 hour backup battery. Because I wanted 2 cameras (so that the thieves were in the picture longer, I also bought the Arlo Q. Although they both cost the same, the Arlo gives you more options (make presets when absent, when the dog is present or the dog is home alone) Arlo provides 7 days of cloud storage instead of 24 hours and the sound of the speaker is also slightly better (so you can yell something from anywhere to your dog, or to the burglar). I would still buy the first version, or the Arlo Q. In the photo you can see how I built the Circle 2 into a clock (on the far left of the cabinet) so that thieves no longer notice it.

Now have a model 1 (with wire) and a model 2 (with wire) and now also use this wireless variant. Apart from the fact that it is very easy to place a camera anywhere, the biggest disadvantage of this camera is that it reacts slowly to movement in the dark. As a result, sometimes/often a good recording is only available when the person is already out of the picture. As a result, it is actually not suitable for use in the dark. The wired version works fine.

Great product for outdoor installation. Hangs under my canopy. So water resistance is not so important but moisture resistance is. Thanks to a 180-degree view, I can now keep an eye on three garden doors. Night vision could be better if you have lights on. (Safer for me personally). The disadvantage when hanging is the fixed USB A cable on the camera itself. This makes it not easy to install the cable through a thick wall. Maybe through the extension kit, I don't know. USB C cable connection would make a big difference I think. Converted to (beta) HomeKit Secure Video immediately upon purchase. As a result, the images are stored encrypted in my iCloud, making them more secure in my opinion than via a regular upload to the Logitech Server. The processing of the images takes place locally on my Apple TV. The disadvantage is that you can only use HomeKit outdoors via an Apple TV, iPad or HomePod. Unfortunately, it is therefore no longer possible to use the Logitech software. Updates are still possible, but setting zones (when to include or not to include) is no longer possible. Also no 30 sec or 1 minute summary as possible via Logitech. The advantage is that you can set whether the camera saves the images when a human, animal or car is detected (or all at the same time). All in all a great purchase if I do say so myself. If you really want to use HomeKit Secure Video, this is an ideal outdoor camera for that.
