Disc is great. It has an 8GB ssd buffer, which ensures fast transfer for an HD. If you do not write files larger than 8GB, the speed is approximately 230MB p/s. If you are going to transfer larger files, the speed drops to about 80-90mb p/s after 8GB. It is very quiet for a spinning disc.
