Make your own personalized sound profiles in the software equalizer.
Click the microphone into the ear cup when you don't need it.
The Logitech G633 can also be used as headphones for your MP3 player.
Unlike the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum, the G633 isn't wireless.
Additional software is required for the use of surround sound. That's why surround sound only works on the PC.
Description
For years, the G430 was Logitech's only true wired 7.1 surround sound PC headset. It's a serious piece of electronics for serious PC gamers and audiophiles. Console gamers missed out all this time. Until now! See here the follow up to the G430: the Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum. Just like its predecessor, this is a wired 7.1 surround sound headset, this time also compatible with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Also new: personalize it with interchangeable illuminated tags and switch between colors with a pallet of up to 16.8 million colors. Choose for yourself which functions are operated by the G keys on the right ear cup.
Note: 7.1 Surround Sound only works on the PC.
The downsides briefly:
The outer caps are attached with fairly weak magnets and can come loose at the slightest touch. This can make the headset clumsy to hold and slip out of your hands in the event of a breakdown.
Although Logitech claims to have used a poly-plastic type that should be light and extremely strong, I can't ignore the fact that the tiltable ear cups feel very fragile. In the past, the G35, G930 and G430 could break if used improperly (pull, throw, fall, etc. Don't do that with an expensive headset).
It hasn't happened to anyone yet, so Logitech must have thought about this with this new model.
Upon closer inspection of the attachment points, it is possible to carry out a repair at home (screws).
Soft hum at the voice feedback function. This can only be heard when it is very quiet in your game and is not disturbing. (see features for solution) When recording and towards your chat partners, you will not be bothered by this hum.
The pluses:
-The sound versus competing, equivalent headsets
I've used SteelSeries Prism Elite, Logitech G35, Triton 5.1 Pro, multiple Turtle Beach, and Razer Kraken headsets that have significantly degraded sound quality. Sure to know that some are among the absolute top for gaming. The only one that can cope with sound compared to the new G633 is the Astro A50 (7.1 surround) which costs no less than 300 euros, so much more expensive! The Astro A40 (7.1 surround) comes very close though!
-The sound: the bass
I think it's important that the bass is tight and powerful. To name two examples: in Fallout 4 a nuclear bomb is really a blow to your skull, if you have set the headset that way. The blades of a helicopter in Battlefield 4 can be heard waving separately with each blow. That means that the speakers in the headset contain 1 per shell due to the size (size of the speaker = range of the bass) and hence can perform this great sound.
-7.1 Dolby surround or DTS
Why I was immediately sold after trying the headset was the option to switch between 7.1 and DTS.
I am a music fanatic and sometimes want to listen to music in between. 7.1 causes "quality" loss in a stereo recording, so I'd rather grab my studio headphones. You can easily and directly switch between the two by means of a preset G-key or via the interface in the software.
-7.1 Dolby Surround Sound for gaming
7 digitally controlled speaker controls and 1 bass control, the volume of which can be adjusted separately. This way you can set the headset yourself to better hear sounds from a certain area.
-DTS Headphone:X for music or stereo series/movies
DTS is a stereo mode divided into Super Stereo Front for Album recordings and Super Stereo Wide for Live performances and stereo series/movies. You can easily switch between these. Of course, taste is important and you may prefer to use the DTS differently.
-Equalizer
If I may give a good tip: stay away from the equalizer if you don't know what you're doing. There are specially trained people who have mastered the sound of a game or piece of music so that no EQ is needed.
There are 10 individual faders that affect the frequency range from 32Hz to 16000Hz. You can save an EQ setting to easily switch between settings.
-Microphone
A pleasantly balanced microphone without noise!!
It can't compete with a professional microphone, but again Logitech has applied new technology that completely eliminates the ailments of older models. Due to its small sensor, the microphone does not have the ability to sound full and powerful, but that is of little use during gaming. The microphone delivers a clear and penetrating flat sound that is still clearly intelligible even in loud situations.
You can completely hide the microphone in the headset so that you cannot see that a microphone is connected and unfold it again and possibly extend it for longer range. If the microphone is folded, it will automatically be muted.
- Ear cups (ear cuffs)
interchangeable. Breathable. Over ear.
The shells are made of a resilient foam material with a fabric cover. Also completely different from previous models. This material breathes and does not heat up or sweat. I did an 8-hour test and did not experience any problems or disadvantages with the wearing comfort. That's a big plus in the headset world.
All parts are synthetic and do not itch.
-Headband
The pillow is a flexible one-piece memory foam. The headband is narrow (31mm) and thin (23mm). The headset won't fall off your head whether you lean forward or back and will stay in place when headbanging to your favorite music.
-Wearing comfort
There was no pressure or headache after the 8-hour test. The headset doesn't feel tight and didn't fall off with weird movements. The weight is exceptionally light and in my opinion the lightest gaming headset I've tested. much lighter than previous Logitech headsets, so if that bothered you, this issue has been resolved.
-Cable
detachable. USB or 3.5mm Jack. USB=3m. Jack=1.2m.
Included USB(male) > mini-USB(male) cable is a smooth rubber cable of 4.2mm diameter and can be considered quite thick. The cable is not very stiff and takes a month or two to come out of its fold without forcing it.
The shielding of this cable is extremely good! with an I/O shielded motherboard you have absolutely no noise or interference from the speakers. I am not exaggerating. Perfectly clean, even at maximum volume. If you ever prefer a different cable, you can exchange it for a USB to USB micro that is suitable for data transfer. The supplied Jack cable is braided and has a control panel for mobile phone users.
-Buttons
There are 4 pre-programmable G-buttons located on the back of the left earcup. With the included gaming software you can command the G-buttons to take a different profile, for example: DTS with a blue LED color. Or 7.1 surround with Orange LED color.
Below the G buttons this is a narrow volume control wheel. When turning this wheel you hear how loud the sound is by means of a beep sound.
Above the G buttons is a slide with which you can choose between USB or Jack connection.
-The alien design
You can't ignore it, the headset looks unique. The design of all Logitech headsets is almost identical, except for the G633 and the wireless G933. You can tell it's a Logitech without going into details, but you can see and feel a big difference.
On Youtube you can see how the design process of the Logitech G633 has been.
-LED
The lighting is RGB and may respond to other Logitech products in a particular profile. The LED is also dimmable and you can also turn off the lighting (logo and/or edges).
There is an option to run an effect: breath or color cycle.
Very handy is that you can turn on a sleep timer if you want to go to sleep in the dark with your computer on.
-Software
To fully use the headset via USB, you must download or install the Logitech Gaming software via the included DVD.
With this software you can use all settings that I indicate in this review and communicate with other Logitech G-series devices.
Additional features:
Interchangeable ear cups for future customization.
Feedback function with volume control to hear yourself during a call.
Finally...
I don't rate the product against the rest, but I would pay 240 euros for this headset. The suggested retail price is 170 euros. And with that I can say that you get a lot for your money. I love the headset simply because it's the best headset I've ever owned.

Good sound
Good microphone
Logitech gaming software
Price
I've had that Logitech G633 for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with it. It has good sound and a clear microphone. It is easy to use with the Logitech gaming software. The only negative thing I can think of is the price for some.
I definitely recommend this headset for people who are looking for a good headset.

Xbox One Microphone Problems
Headset is nice and good. However, I bought it for the Xbox One, where I can't get the microphone to work in multiplayer.
In addition, the sound on Xbox is quite low, despite settings via Xbox setting.
