According to our earbuds expert
These Bose SoundTrue In-ear earbuds are made to be worn at all times. The StayHear Ultra earbuds close the ear canals to block external sounds and distribute pressure, allowing for hours of continuous, comfortable use. The earbuds have a secure fit thanks to the ear clip, so they won't fall out of your ears if you're running to catch your train or biking into a strong headwind. You can take them with you if you're going for a run, because they're splash proof and sweat resistant. The special cable prevents rustling sounds in your ears when it scrapes against your clothes. This way, you'll be able to enjoy your favorite music under any circumstances. The controls in the cable are optimized for Android and aren't compatible with Apple products.

I bought these earphones as a replacement for my Monster Turbine in ear's and I have not regretted it for a second. First of all, the design. Nice minimalistic finish, although I might have expected other materials for this price. It doesn't exactly look like a €129 product and in my opinion lacks a classy touch (eg. Why don't Bose letters stand out with shiny letters -made of metal- or using other materials besides plastic). The comfort. I also bought the Bose in-ear 2 a few years ago. These were one of the first models with the same style of earphones (the stay-hear tips) and I was immediately sold. It doesn't take long to get used to it and once you get used to it you don't really want another one. Get rid of those earphones that you have to push completely into your ear canal. The stay-hear earphones fit great and, thanks to the innovation (compared to the in-ear 2), they also seal off the outside noise perfectly. Next and perhaps most importantly, the sound quality. These earphones give a very clear sound and if this is the first time you buy in this price range, you will certainly be surprised. The detail of the music, hearing instruments that were previously lost in a cacophony of sounds, a treble that finally doesn't give you a headache ... this one has it all. The bass is present although it will certainly not be overpowered. And if you want to listen to a heavy dubstep / trap song where the bass has to blow you off your socks, you only have to turn up the volume (easy thanks to the remote control) or the equalizer on the sound carrier (mobile phone / laptop / MP3) what to adjust. While I'm on the subject of volume... As a comment (see minus) I gave the volume. It is noticeable that if you set the volume on, for example, your mobile phone to 40%, this is really too soft. With my previous earphones I set the volume to 40-50% and I could already headbang along on AC/DC and the like, while I set them to 60-70% with this standard. !Note that from the moment your volume is at 75-80%, it may become too loud, just like with other earphones. This "problem" if you can call it that (find your perfect volume and go for it) is not noticeable when you use the earphones on, for example, a laptop. Even setting your volume to 30% is more than enough there. The noise canceling works as advertised. Pro Tip: When cycling, WATCH YOUR BOOTS. Just saying, you won't hear a car coming. (This was not the case with the noise canceling of my previous earphones, while these were also supposed to have full noise cancelling, so + point for Bose). Finally, I want to end with the cable tapping / friction noise. Before buying this I looked at reviews on the web and often came across this comment. Now this is definitely NOT a deal breaker. The moment I set my volume to 50%, it never bothers me, on the bike or at my desk. However, when I set it to 20-30% I could sometimes hear in the earphones that the cable was rubbing against my pull, belt or zipper. Is this disturbing? No and yes. If you move you will encounter this more often, but also only if your volume is rock low. So yes at low volume, no at normal use. TL;DR: Am I happy with my upgrade? Yes. Do I recommend it? Yes. Do I want to win the €100 from the review competition? Hell yeah!

Don't really understand some of the reviews regarding the bass sound. The bass is fine. I only recommend using an equalizer, but that doesn't just apply to Bose, but to any in-ear. I've tried quite a few and it applies to all , for an optimal personal sound experience, use an equalizer.
