Inventum MN325CS

My Whirlpool AVM 916 VIP27 combi microwave, an ancient one dating from the 1990s with many years of faithful service, had unfortunately given up the ghost. So I started my search for an alternative with comparable possibilities. I would not have dared to dream that good combi microwaves were made for this price. Fortunately, that is the case and this Inventum MN325CS is a nice deal for only 157 Euros with a 150 to 240 degrees hot air oven, grill with a spit (rotary spit) to install the roast in the middle of the oven. If you are not satisfied with that, there is the microwave function from 100 Watt to 1000 Watt. Exactly what I was looking for, with the difference that the new Inventum is +/- 500Watt more efficient in power consumption, something I will check again if I have time. My good experiences with Coolblue have taught me that at Coolblue they know what real customer service is, with next-day home delivery, so the choice was quickly made when the prices were almost the same at the competitors. It is not a heavyweight with its 18.6 kilos. It may be useful to place rubber caps under the feet if the surface of the counter where the combi microwave will be placed is on the smooth side. Otherwise, the device could still move. The manual is not very extensive, but everything you need and might want to know is described in Dutch. After removing two staples and cutting open the adhesive tape, the box is open. On top you will find the turntable and the glass plate firmly embedded in the Styrofoam. The combi microwave is well packed under the polystyrene foam. Packed in a plastic bag with a plastic film taped over it. Behind the door is the manual, pizza tree and the rotisserie along with a handy fork to take it out. If it is still too warm to handle, a handy gadget. At the first use I heated the microwave on 1000 Watt for 1 minute with only the glass plate and then for 10 minutes 240 degrees hot air oven with the rotisserie. As expected with all electric hot appliances, you will encounter an electric air, which fortunately pulls away again and after that the microwave does its job without extra odors. Then it was time for a pizza! On the 240 degrees position, pooh that may be a little less hot, I soon noticed. Compared to my old whirlpool, this is a lot faster. 220 degrees turns out to be the perfect temperature. The hot air oven can become noticeably warm on the outside, especially the left side where there are ventilation holes, you will notice this. Something to keep in mind. It is therefore not for nothing that Inventum advised in the manual to leave at least 20 cm free on both sides. All that positive talk, is there nothing to criticize? Yes, I do. Here and there the screws of the hood of the combi microwave are not screwed in completely straight. For this price I can't really get excited about that and you don't see or notice anything else when using the device. All in all, I am very satisfied.

This combi oven is really exactly the appliance you are looking for for the kitchen! You definitely get value for money. Why am I posing this? - There's a lot that fits in the oven. But because of the use of the diagonal (for example with the grill rod supplied) the oven is not wider than necessary. Also, the oven is sturdy and does not seem prone to damage after frequent use. - Many reviews indicate that the many options and modes are difficult to use. Nonsense! An icon or word is illuminated on the display for each position, which already describes or depicts the position. In addition, the codes are very understandable. For example, P100 stands for 100 times 9 Watts = 900 Watts (P is the physical symbol for Watts), so P50 is 450 Watts and P10 is therefore 90 Watts. - The basic functions (micro, oven, grill) make it a great device for every cook. But because of the combi modes (running basic functions consecutively and/or simultaneously), advanced cooking is also within reach. - Because of the functions, the user-friendliness of the many functions and because of the sturdy character, the price/quality ratio of this oven is very good! A negative point for me would simply be that the beep function that goes off after you have run a program cannot be turned off. All in all a fantastic oven from a beautiful Dutch brand!
