Tomorrow on holiday and of course that camera has to come along…. It couldn't just be a simple camera, no, it had to meet a lot of requirements. Small, compact, large zoom power, large screen at the back, auto focus, etc… Fortunately, Coolblue was there with a wide range of compact cameras and more importantly; "Ordered before 3 p.m., delivered tomorrow"! haha! It was 2:45 PM just in time to order a new camera! 14.59 "order successful". Perfect… I thought. Unfortunately, half an hour later I received an email that the payment was approved too late and the camera will not be delivered until tomorrow. Usually this is only at the end of the afternoon with us, so that would be much too late! Immediately called Coolblue and explained the story. They offered to have the package delivered by appointment between 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. As a service they would not charge the extra for this. Awesome! And what a top service from Coolblue! So far my experience with Coolblue. Well, the camera arrived, neatly on time and neatly packed. My eye fell on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ70. Thanks to its small size, you can put it perfectly in your pocket and take it with you everywhere. The auto focus works very quickly and automatically finds the best mode to take pictures. As a beginner, this function is basically enough for you. If you want something more and decide for yourself how you take your photos, there is a wide range of options, such as the Raw functionality with which you can make your photos even better and more beautiful afterwards, in addition, there are 2 modes that can be set to your own liking and save. it automatically opens it. The enormous zoom power was also a very big advantage. The photos remain razor sharp, without noise and with the automatic stability sensor it is not difficult to focus, even when you zoom in all the way. Even in dark rooms, the camera continues to take beautiful photos. The camera fits comfortably in the hand and is easy to operate, the rotary wheel responds well and zooming in and out is very smooth. The camera's autofocus works very quickly and taking a photo is also done without any delay. The quality of the photos is really superb. Even without experience in taking pictures, it is not difficult to take beautiful pictures. In the menu of the camera you can choose from a few help lines which appear on the display, it is also clearly explained what these lines are for and what you should pay attention to. There is a ring around the lens with which you can change some settings, depending on the selected mode. For example, with the scene mode you can quickly switch between sport mode, automatic mode, etc. You can also assign the function to the ring yourself. For example, you can also zoom in, set exposure compensation, ISO value, white balance, etc. Thanks to the WiFi function on the camera, you can quickly and easily synchronize your photos with, for example, your Smartphone or laptop. The only thing that was missing was the GPS function, this function was on its predecessor and I am surprised that it is not present on this model. The battery lasts about 2 days with +/- 150 photos per day. Fine by me. I do recommend buying an extra battery as a backup. For me, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ70 is a perfect compact camera with many functions and which takes very nice photos. It may be a bit on the expensive side compared to other cameras in this category, but for me it's well worth it. And my girlfriend? Yes, he is also very happy with it.

It would be useful if a manual in Dutch was included. English or German if necessary, I can't do anything with Hungarian and such. Furthermore, a great device with a lot of zoom and equally good stabilization, so that the zoom can also be used by hand.

My fourth from DMC TZ series: had the TZ3 in use for years, then the 20 (not wise to take photos on a beach with wind force 7 low above the ground: sand in the zoom lens: replaced by Panasonic) the 30 (dropped with extended lens ) now over 70: razor-sharp shots, even handheld moon photos are razor-sharp.
