Tacx Vortex Smart T2180

I bought this device to be able to train in the winter and to come out of the winter in good condition. With the included quick release, it only takes a few seconds to get your bike ready for a workout. Compared to other cycle trainers I've had in the past, I noticed that this one is very sturdy and very stable, even with great efforts or when you stay upright on the pedals. Thanks to the included riser for the front wheel, you have a good, comfortable position while cycling. The brake is powerful enough to simulate a varied workout. Slowly breaking loose with little resistance is possible, but you can also think that you are riding a nice climb. The brake does make some noise, but certainly not more than you would expect from a bicycle trainer. You can use this bike trainer in different ways. Just ride a bike and determine the resistance by changing gears on your bike is the easiest (and most boring). However, it is possible to connect the Tacx Vortex Smart to your smartphone via bluetooth and then train on heart rate, resistance, where you also see your cadence and speed. This is already a bit more interesting, but unfortunately the possibilities of the smartphone app are still somewhat limited. It becomes even more interesting if you can connect the device to a tablet. The tablet app has more options for creating workouts, analyzing your workout and you can then purchase extra films to guess certain rides where the resistance is adjusted to the course. Provided that you purchase an extra module, it is also possible to connect the Vortex Smart to your PC and have the same options as with the tablet app. Unfortunately, this software only works on Windows PCs and not on a Mac. As a tip, I would like to add to order the tacx trainer tire because regular bicycle tires wear out very quickly when used around the bicycle trainer.
