Description

Note: This RAM module only fits in Windows laptops. It's not suitable for a MacBook or iMac. The laptop needs to have a DDR3 connector. You can check this in the Windows Task Manager by clicking 'More Details' under the 'Performance' header. It'll say DDR3 or DDR4 under memory. If it doesn't say anything about the connector, you'll need a DDR4.

My Lenovo G510 had 8 GB of RAM on board as standard. I sometimes found the laptop to be a bit slow to respond when I edited a photo in NEF (RAW) format in lightroom. With this RAM expansion, I was hoping that these operations would run a little smoother, and they did! After clicking in the memory strip, I immediately played with Lightroom to test and the edits indeed go a lot smoother. The laptop recognized the memory immediately and I didn't have to set anything.
