Description

The TP-Link Omada TL-SG2428P is a business switch with 24 regular network ports and 4 SFP ports. The 24 network ports support PoE+, so you can power devices like access points and security cameras via the network cable. You can plug an extra network connector or fiber optic module into the SFP ports. Thanks to the Omada platform, you can manage this switch via the cloud. You can set up the switch entirely to your liking and add a new switch to your network without having to configure it. It's loaded automatically. You can resolve errors even when you're not at the office. Do you have Omada access points and routers set up in the same network? You can manage all of them at the same time.

Nice thing but VLAN is not a VLAN

  • Compact
  • GUI is simple
  • "VLAN" not for multiple subnet

VLAN 1 Default is untagged across all ports by default. This is a disadvantage if you want to work with multiple subnets. TP-Link's VLAN is more like setting up "workgroups" via switch. (e.g. assigning printers to certain groups via "VLAN")

Great product.

  • Plug in and you're done
  • 4 ports with PoE
  • Price quality
  • Max 15.4 watts per port, but no higher than 55 watts in total for the 4 ports.

Does what it should. Bought product only for the PoE part, which works well. Don't actually use the "managed" part.

Lots of bang for the buck

  • POE support
  • managed switch
  • easy to install

Many options for an entry model switch. POE, Manageble and Vlan support. You don't find that much on switches in this price range. Comes in a sturdy housing.
