I have had this hedge trimmer for 1 month now and have already done a fair amount of pruning (40m hedge - 4m wide - 4 meters high). I can only conclude: she cuts very well and I am satisfied with my purchase. I cut effortlessly through branches of 10 - 25mm. The manual does recommend branches of 10mm, but 20-28mm is also possible (as indicated by Coolblue), for thicker branches I use my tree saw. Ultimately, not for a hedge trimmer with battery (36V, etc.) the dependence on batteries and the reliability and power of mains power. The cable guide is a great accessory for this and conveniently keeps the wire away from the hedge trimmer. The saw blade consists of double-edged blades and does not give a feeling of pressure. Sound pressure level is up to 100 dB(A), so hearing protection is recommended (but this certainly does not interfere with work). The shaving result is beautiful, complete and the hedge trimmer cuts through the hedge like butter. I wanted to buy the Bosch first. the thicker branch thickness (up to 34mm), but in comparison this machine is better and I think more durable. The hedge trimmer fits well in the hand, thanks to the ergonomic handle (handle can be gripped from above and also from the side). This way you can relieve your wrists and easily trim the hedge in a straight line. The protection on the saw blade is made of plastic and not scratch-free, but does its job. The protective cover that can be slid over the blades is of good quality. The device is easy to maintain. I sometimes unexpectedly pressed both buttons on the device when going down the ladder, causing the hedge trimmer to cut short, but that is the habit of my previous hedge trimmer where you always had to press 2 the same buttons. With this Makita you can always choose which 2 keys (of the 3) you press. It's a way of working...

Had a Bosch that was broken and I came across this through Test Aankoop. But it is still an ergonomic improvement and the power of cutting.

Take a solid brand for a durable device such as a hedge trimmer. The Makita UH6570 hedge trimmer is such a device and does what I expected. It cuts through beech hedge, ivy or catalpa .. as if through butter. It is accurate, powerful and easy to use. Everything goes smoothly. The noise is okay. The handle feels firm. The device fits well in the hand, which increases the feeling of safety. The cable guide seems like a nice extra, but I don't think this is a superfluous luxury because it is extremely handy.
