Pros and cons

According to our drill expert

  • You can firmly connect the Mbox to other cases from this storage system, so it's easy to bring with you.
  • You can drill holes of up to 16mm large in stone, so you can tackle demanding drilling jobs in stone.
  • Thanks to the impact function, you can drill in wood, plaster, metal, brick, stone, and tiles.
  • You have less freedom of movement with a short 2m power cord.

Description

The drill head of the Makita HP1631K makes around 3200 revolutions per minute without load. This is more than enough to get through wooden and metal surfaces. The variable electronic speed control allows you to do so with control and accuracy. Aside from the rotating movement, it also makes a maximum of 48,000 strokes per minute. This easily gets you through even the hardest types of stone. Even with long-term intensive use, the HP1631K lasts a long time, thanks to the aluminum gear housing and cylindrical construction. In addition, it's provided with a soft grip handle. This makes the machine easy to handle and also reduces the noise that it produces. You transport it and store it neatly in the case included by default.

great for light use.

  • light
  • flexible
  • electronic gear
  • no slip clutch

A high-quality smooth drill for many light works that can last a long time. But not for the intense heavy work. Due to no slip clutch to protect the gears against blocking, I blocked 1 time with a drill clock and the gears now sing (a piece of gears) which means gradually at the end. I know from experience that the Metabo SBE 701 and 751 here on coolblue do have a slip clutch and can handle the heavy work despite their 700 watts and 750 watts. A slightly higher price range.

Very satisfied

As a "sporadic handyman" I was looking for a solid drill that was easy to handle, of good quality and yet not too expensive. I certainly found that with the purchase of the Makita HP1631. The delivery of CoolBlue also deserves praise!
