Which connectors are there for your washing machines and dryers?
Earthed socket
The most common power source in your house is the socket in the wall. You can safely connect your washing machine and dryer to an earthed socket. You can recognize this type of socket by the 2 metal pins on the edge of the opening. Keep in mind that you can only connect your appliances this way in a dry area. For example, in the attic or laundry room. Do you want to install your appliance in a bathroom or different humid room? Use a waterproof connector, like a pull switch or contra power connector.
Combi switch
With a combi switch, you can connect 2 large appliances to 1 power group. The switch looks like a power strip with 2 sockets. The power source works the same way as a two-way pull switch, but recognizes which appliance needs power by itself. The combi switch will automatically turn off the power supply for the appliance that isn't being used. That way, you can prevent an overload of the electric circuit.
