What are the energy-saving properties of FRITZ!DECT?

You can save a lot of money of you use less gas and electricity. FRITZ! DECT products help you do that. In this article, we'll explain what the energy-saving functions of FRITZ! products are. This way, you know how to save money with smart lights, thermostats, and connectors.

Get insight into your energy consumptio

FRITZ! smart light

Your FRITZ! Box constantly measures the energy consumption of all your DECT products. You can see which products consume a lot of energy in the FRITZ! app. Connect FRITZ! thermostats to the app to find out how long your radiators are on every day, for example. You can connect other products to a FRITZ! smart plug. You' can then see how much energy these products consume in the app as a result. You may find out that your television consumes a lot of energy in the standby mode, for example

Turn off products remotely

In the FRITZ! app, you can see which products are on and when. You can then turn off these products via the same app. You don't consume energy unnecessarily as a result. You can also turn off smart devices when you're not home. You do need a FRITZ! router for this. That way, you never have to wonder whether the light is still on at home.

Make a schedule for all your products at home

Turn all your FRITZ! products on and off automatically with a schedule. Your products will switch on at set times as a result. And this way, you can be sure that all your products are switched off when you're not home. In addition, you can connect your FRITZ! app to your Google Calendar. You can indicate when you're not home via the Calendar app, for example. This ensures that all your FRITZ! products switch off automatically when you're at the office.

Measure the temperature in each room

Every FRITZ! radiator thermostat measures its own temperature. This gives you an accurate overview of the temperature in the house. The DECT 440 switch is a switch for your lights, but it's also a temperature sensor for your thermostats. This allows you to measure the temperature in the rooms you want. Your FRITZ! thermostats will then adjust the temperature exactly to your liking. And you only use the energy you need as a result.

Don't heat unnecessarily thanks to open window detection

The FRITZ! DECT thermostats monitor how quickly the temperature rises or drops. When the temperature in the house drops very quickly, you'll get a notification via the FRITZ! app. This way, you know that there's probably a window open. You can then close it or turn off your thermostat to save energy, because you don't heat the house unnecessarily that way.

Safely switch off your products when you're on holiday

Keep your thermostats switched off when you're on holiday. The thermostat automatically switches on briefly when your pipes get too cold. This prevents damage to your pipes, because it keeps them from freezing. You can also keep your lights switched off, while still protecting your house from intruders. FRITZ! automatically switches on your lights a couple of times a day. This makes it look like you're still home.
