What do you need to amplify the signal of your FRITZ!Box?
How much range does your WiFi router have without repeaters?
A router has a 8 to 14m range without obstacles. Keep the interference from other devices and walls between you and the router in mind. When you repeat your signal with a repeater or another router, place the repeater at about an 8m distance. You can connect an endless number of to your router. You can add as many AVM repeaters as you need for a strong signal.
Wireless extension with a WiFi repeater
With an AVM FRITZ!Repeater, you can extend the WiFi range of your FRITZ!Box. The AVM WiFi repeaters work seamlessly together with the router like a mesh network. That way, you can set up 1 WiFi network with coverage for a larger part of your home. All of the repeaters on this page work with your AVM router. You can also set other AVM routers as new repeaters.
Via the AC power with a powerline adapter
Do you want to have WiFi from your FRITZ!Box in an area that currently has no reception at all? Choose an AVM FRITZ!Powerline adapter. With these powerline adapters, you can transmit the internet signal via the AC power. You can ensure an extra WiFi point where you plug the adapter into the socket that way. This allows you to set up good WiFi in the attic or in your gazebo as well. An important disadvantage is that you have to switch to this extra WiFi network manually.
WiFi throughout the entire house with a mesh system
With a WiFi mesh system, you can ensure WiFi throughout your entire house. You can connect the stations of such a system either wired or wirelessly. Whatever works best for you. You're more flexible because of this. A mesh system offers the fastest WiFI for the entire house. If you combine a mesh system with your FRITZ!Box, you do have to compromise. You'll no longer be able to use the FRITZ!Box as a smart home system, for example. This is the main disadvantage of a mesh system.
