A meat slicer is especially suitable for cutting fine cuts. You can cut slices of ham, coppa or carpaccio to exactly the right thickness without any problems. A meat slicer is equipped with a smooth knife. This makes it possible to cut beautiful paper thin slices, which is not always possible with a normal carving knife. Often a meat slicer can also be used to cut cheese. For cutting other products, such as bread, use a slicer with serrated knife.
