Second Chance Liebherr FNd 4224-22

I am looking for a freestanding freezer that can fit in my garage and has enough space for pizzas, snacks and sorbet. The Liebherr FNd 4224-22 is suitable for this. I store all my groceries in 4 freezer drawers and freeze them extra quickly. It is handy that I no longer have to defrost with No Frost, which saves a lot of time and hassle. A small disadvantage is that the freezer has no lighting, but I quickly get used to that.

First impression
When I open the freezer, I notice the display on the inside. I set the temperature here very conveniently and easily adjust it. I also turn on SuperFrost here, which makes my groceries cold extra quickly. It is a pity that the display is on the inside, so I cannot operate it from the outside. This way I first open the door and a little cold escapes. Nevertheless, I save energy thanks to the E-saver. I will come back to this later.

Spacious enough
The freezer has 4 transparent drawers, so I can see better what I have in stock. The drawers are spacious enough for a few pizzas, different flavours of sorbet and bags of oven chips. I also have room for healthier groceries, such as frozen raspberries and spinach for my smoothie. I find it handy that there is a freezer tray, which I use for my favourite snacks. This is actually intended for fruits and herbs, but I store my chocolate eclairs here. This makes them quicker to grab.

More sustainable
I normally set the temperature to -18 degrees Celsius, but with the E-Saver I save energy and increase the temperature by a few degrees. I can access this function via the display. With the E-Saver it is now -16 degrees Celsius, which is cold enough for my pizzas. I usually turn this function on in the winter, when it is already cold in my garage. If I want, I simply turn the function off again.

No lighting
In the evening I notice that the freezer has no interior lighting. This is not a big deal for me, because my garage is lit. Only the back of the freezer is a bit less visible. I then slide the drawer out a bit further.

No Frost
With No Frost, the freezer remains ice-free inside and I never have to defrost it. I defrosted my previous freezer up to 6 times a year, but that is not necessary here. This saves me a lot of time and hassle. What a relief. This makes me definitely recommend the freezer.
