From crispy raisins to shiny grapes.

Reason for purchase
Before, I had to manually pull my eyelids apart every morning, the air in my bedroom was so dry. I suffered from a dry throat, dry skin, headaches and therefore extremely dry eyes. I have 7 plants in my bedroom, all of which should increase the humidity/oxygen levels, but unfortunately my green friends don't quite do their job. They also looked a bit grumpy.

Installation
When unpacking, the HU4803 reminded me a bit of an AirFryer, but I love chips so that's not a big deal.
Without consulting the manual, I filled the humidifier with water (super handy notch for the faucet) and turned it on.
The beautiful blue numbers indicated that the humidity in my bedroom (approx. 19 square meters) was 39%. Now there could be a deviation of 10%, so that could have been even lower.
Not extremely low per se, but enough to turn me into a kind of crispy raisin.

Usage
You really don't need an IQ of more than 2 digits to set up the humidifier. All buttons speak for themselves. I put it on max, 60% and went to the gym. When he returned, he was already at 59%!
Before I got into bed, I set it to sleep mode and didn't notice it making noise until it stopped. Didn't wake me up at night.

Result
I noticed a difference after just one night. I slept soundly and when I woke up I didn't need a jack to open my eyes. I looked in the mirror and saw my skin glowing and glowing like a fine Riesling grape. Even my plants seemed a lot happier. Need I say more?

Disadvantage
The black version is more expensive. I love black, but also money, so I chose the white/oyster colored one.
I'm not fond of the design, but I actually think all humidifiers are quite ugly and then this is the best choice in this price range in my opinion.

In the meantime bought my 2nd device for the bedroom. Very good experience with the device and maintains the humidity well. I've had it running all year round and it's a great purchase for me. Pay close attention to the filter and, if it is brown in color and has some limescale, leave it in water for an hour and then rinse it out. DO NOT wring out due to damage to the filter cloth. This way the filter can last for a long time, but replace it at least annually.

I often suffered from nosebleeds/a stuffy nose when waking up in combination with dry eyes and throat. Now that I have been using this Philips humidifier for a while, these irritating complaints have all disappeared.

Reception: The humidifier comes in a box containing some cardboard and the instructions for use. Immediately I noticed how big, but also beautiful this device actually is.

Usage: I immediately turned on the humidifier and went through all the options accessible with the four different buttons around the humidifier's display. Everything works very simply and is self-explanatory.

The reservoir holds about two liters of water. In the beginning, when the humidity in my room was still low, the reservoir had to be refilled after about 15 hours. But now that the humidifier really only needs to maintain the humidity, it lasts about 2.5 days. It is a pity that the filter has to be replaced every 3 months.

I actually only have the humidifier on automatic mode during the day, where it keeps the humidity at a constant level, and on night mode at night, where it produces virtually no noise. I never wake up at night these days, and when I wake up I can breathe freely and my airways don't bother me.

In short: The device looks nice, but don't be fooled by the size. The device does its job very well and is able to combat various physical complaints. Before purchasing this product, please realize that filters will also have to be purchased in the future.
