Colorful images and strong contrast
While watching a colorful documentary, I notice that the colors splash off the screen. This is due to the 10-bit panel. Thanks to the OLED screen, the black tones are deep black, which ensures a strong contrast. This makes watching films and series extra fun, especially in scenes with many shadows or dark elements. I noticed that every color looks natural, without it seeming too bright or unnatural. This makes the S90D a good choice for both streaming your favorite shows and for playing games where fast movements and details are important. Thanks to the high refresh rate of 100 hertz, fast actions are displayed smoothly.

Good sound
Despite the thin screen, the S90D has powerful speakers. The sounds are clear and full with sufficient bass. This brings action-packed scenes to life. Thanks to the Dolby Atmos function, I enjoy surround sound throughout the room. For an extra full and spatial sound, I recommend a separate soundbar and subwoofer. This creates an extra immersive sound experience.

User-friendly smart platform
I open the smart menu to turn on my favorite series. I immediately notice that Tizen, Samsung's smart platform, has a clear menu. On the home screen, I immediately see all the popular streaming apps. Via the smart buttons on the remote control, I open apps such as Disney+ and Netflix with one push of a button. The S90D comes with the Solar One Remote. This handy remote control is compact and has few buttons, making it very clear. The remote control charges with artificial and daylight. This means that no batteries are required.

I would like to share my experiences with the Samsung QE55S90DAEXXN OLED TV, which I recently tested. Setting up this TV is quite simple, but it is more convenient to do this with two people. You simply click the bracket into place and as soon as you turn on the TV, you will be guided through a clear menu for all basic settings.

This TV stands out because of its wide viewing angle, which is great if you often watch with family or friends. Everyone can see the screen clearly, no matter where they sit. The sound is also impressive, especially the deep and clear bass.

Maintenance of the TV is simple; a quick dusting with a swiffer keeps the screen clean. The smart menu is very user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through different functions and apps. Moreover, it is possible to operate the TV with the remote control of your own TV provider, which saves a lot of hassle.

However, despite the many positives, I found the image sharpness to be slightly less impressive than with previous QLED models from Samsung. Although the quality is still good, I expected a little more sharpness.
