LG 65QNED85T6C (2024) + Soundbar

Thanks to the high brightness and bright colors, I think the LG 86QNED85T6C is an ideal television for films and series. I am completely absorbed in my films and it feels like I am in the cinema. Lifelike colours I am very satisfied with the picture quality of this television. The colors on the screen look realistic. They are never dull and actually pop off the screen. This large color range is due to the quantum dot layer behind the screen. Quantum dots are very small particles that all have their own color. I see this in the bright, rich colors of the screen. When I watch a nature documentary, it feels like I'm walking through the jungle myself. Clear screen with few reflections In my living room I have a large window with lots of sunlight. Fortunately, this television has a bright screen, making the screen clearly visible even on a sunny day. I see few annoying reflections, only in very dark scenes. The television has excellent contrast, but this becomes somewhat lower when the sun shines on my screen. This makes details in the shadows less noticeable. That is less useful when I am watching an exciting movie or detective. Fortunately, I don't have this problem in a dark room. The contrast is slightly higher along the edges of the screen than in the middle of the screen, because the dimmable zones are only along these edges. Wide viewing angle When my family comes over, they like to watch Formula 1. Some of the people sit in the corner of the room, diagonally in front of the television. Fortunately, the image is still clearly visible thanks to the wide viewing angle. They see almost no distortions, so they follow the race well. It becomes slightly less bright, but remains bright enough that everyone can watch without any problems. Easy to use with built-in Chromecast Normally I always connect a Chromecast to my television, so that I can easily stream series and films from my smartphone. With this LG television I no longer use a separate Chromecast, because it has a built-in Chromecast. I think this works very easily, I always have my favorite content at hand. This also frees up all HDMI ports for other peripherals, such as my Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and a laptop. Thanks to the low input lag and high refresh rate of 100 Hz, I also enjoy gaming on the television. My games almost never stutter.

I had the opportunity to test the LG 65QNED85T 65-inch TV Image quality: The image quality of the LG 65QNED85T is truly beautiful. The UHD screen is super sharp and clear. I have watched various content and even the smallest details come out very nicely. Image quality with daylight: A special plus is that this TV performs excellently even in daylight. Even when the sun is shining brightly, the image remains clearly visible and the color reproduction is not affected. Perfect in my case since I have a room with a lot of natural light. Color reproduction: The color reproduction on this TV is lifelike and vivid. The dynamic way in which the TV handles different content and inputs and adapts to them certainly helps with that. The image AI function is therefore a nice addition. Contrast: The contrast level is more than excellent in my opinion. Dark scenes are displayed well, while bright scenes still show more than enough detail. Image quality from different angles: This TV retains its image quality well from different viewing angles. Ideal if you don't just watch TV from the couch Design: The design of the LG 65QNED85T is modern and sleek. The adjustable feet have little added value for me. Mounting it as wide as possible provides more stability, which would always be my choice. Sound: Although the image is impressive, I find the sound somewhat disappointing. The AI functionality doesn't change much either. The built-in speakers offer decent sound, but for a better audio experience I would connect an external audio system, which is what I did. Ease of use: This TV can be installed in 2 ways, via the TV/remote control or via an App. I have tried both and it runs smoothly and without problems. The operation is simple and intuitive, thanks to the handy remote control that also functions as a mouse pointer. Smart TV features: The LG 65QNED85T offers a wide range of Smart TV features, apps and games. It is nice to have access to well-known streaming services and other useful apps and games. In short, the LG 65QNED85T 65-inch is a TV that excels in image quality and does well in rooms with a lot of daylight. The design is modern, but the sound could use some improvement.

I was allowed to test this TV for a period, below are my findings. The design and attachment of the feet are really very nicely done. 2 options in terms of width, and also 2 options in terms of height, this allows you to set it higher and place a soundbar neatly underneath. The image quality is a bit double. it is beautifully clear, and with normal series watching during the day everything is very nicely visible. the colors are also very nice then. I only find the blooming very disappointing for this price. that is to say that with small bright parts on a dark screen a gray spot appears, and that part therefore looks a bit blurry. If you are looking for a TV with good HDR details, I would personally look at a direct LED, or a mini LED. Edge lit shows its disadvantages here, although with SDR and normal series for example it is quite nice.
