After about 1.5 months and many hours of gaming I can say that the QD Oled from MSI certainly gives a beautiful image and is a world of difference compared to a 27 Inch 1440P IPS panel. The 0.03 ms response time and 240HZ refresh rate is really a game changer for me, hence the switch to this screen. But unfortunately I also found a dead pixel. You would expect that for the price of over 1K you would also expect a product where these types of defects do not occur or at least would be covered by the warranty. MSI: from 3 bright pixels with a distance of 15 millimeters or 5 dead pixels. In other words, deal with it. So if you are considering spending 1K+, keep in mind that a dead or fixed pixel can also occur on these types of top models and is therefore not covered by the warranty.

After years of waiting, OLED monitors are finally mature, reliable and (relatively) affordable. In the 32" 4k category there are only a few choices where this MSI stands out for me. It offers exactly what you want without any extra bells and whistles. For that, the price is also a few hundred euros lower than the competition. I am not afraid that the screen will burn in quickly and if it does, MSI offers a 3-year warranty, great! In any case, they have built in numerous features to prevent it. Compared to previous generations, these are much less intrusive and are easy to adjust to taste. For example, the pixel refresh runs when the monitor is off, you will not be bothered by that. The settings are almost perfect from the factory. To use the latest options, you do have to update the firmware. To do this, you connect the screen via USB and it is done in a few clicks via the MSI software. It gives a sense of confidence that improvements are continuously being worked on. And that is only right if you buy a product in the top segment. The boring things aside - what a pleasure to use this screen. I knew it was going to be great but wow! Some games are really a night and day difference in terms of immersion. For the best HDR experience you should try the HDR-1000 mode. Especially in games that are a bit darker it is incredibly cool. The light from a torch, lamp or other source is so intensely beautiful and atmospheric. And not only that, the shooters I play run so incredibly smoothly at 240hz. I am very picky about performance but this is the best I have ever experienced. The pixel response time of OLED is unparalleled. The only downside is that displayport 2.1 is missing. This means that DSC (display stream compression) must be used at 4k 240hz. However, this is visually imperceptible in the quality. Although it would have been nice to future-proof with that option. Especially with the new Nvidia cards in prospect.

I draw a lot digitally, after which I have it printed. Accurately displaying colors is essential. So far, the screen is beautifully sharp and vibrant, even when the brightness is low. I had my eye on this screen for a while and now with the price reduction it is more than worth it. The size of the screen ensures that I can have multiple windows open without my eyes getting tired. I can also comfortably play RTS games again, the screen also has a specific game mode for that.
