HP Pavilion TP01-2953nd

Compared to my previous PC (about 7 years old, also an HP) this one is super fast. The machine, including all connected external drives, is ready to use in less than 1 minute. The device does not take up too much space and looks nice with the aluminum colored front. In addition to the 16 GB RAM, i7 processor, connection for SD cards and internally both an SSD and an HDD, the lack of annoying lighting on the front prompted me to choose this machine. I use my TV as a monitor (to view large photos and movies), my PC is right next to it and then the lighting is only disturbing. The computer works silently. Playing large video files of many GBs is hassle-free. The sound card is also okay - it's hard to compare, but it seems to me that music (I use good speakers) now sounds just a little better. The cons are trifles that are easy to live with, but I'll comment on them anyway. The lack of a CD/DVD drive surprises me, because space has been saved for it. Now a separate drive is needed. With CD/DVD drive, the capability rating would have yielded 5 stars. The on/off button could have been made a bit bigger; there is room enough for it and it would have been easier to operate. The USB ports on the back are awkwardly placed together, making inserting and removing the plugs difficult. This has been a common problem with PCs over the years - not especially on this machine. I've been using this PC for a week now, so it will have to prove itself in terms of durability. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase, which was delivered within the promised time.
