Description

The Caruba Portable Photocube LED 50x50x50cm is a ready-to-use shooting tent to photograph small subjects. There are small LED lights in the upper flap of this tent. Thanks to the silver, reflective interior, your subject is evenly illuminated. If you want to soften the light and the shadows, you can hang the supplied diffused fabric in the tent. The cube can be completely folded. This way you change the tent into a compact carrying bag that you easily take with you to photograph on location. In addition to the diffuse cloth, a black, white, gray and orange background cloth is supplied to experiment with different color backgrounds. You can supply power to the tent with the supplied mains adapter.

Ideal for webshop photography.

After a first quick test, this photo tent seems to live up to expectations. The format 70x70x70cm is suitable for larger objects. I don't find Velcro very handy ("sticks" sometimes too quickly), but the light tent is easy to set up, fold and store. The Velcro to attach the backgrounds could have been a bit bigger. And indeed, as reported in another review, an extra attachment for the front flap would have been handy, which easily falls back. I think the light output is sufficient. At iso 400 I have enough light to use aperture 2.8 for a limited depth of field (to accentuate details). The photos in this review were simply taken with a smartphone, without the supplied diffusion cloth.
