Monitor/Camera produces significant white noise over the speaker. VOX (sound activation) only works from 66db, so if your child is whining in bed with a fever, it will not turn on, the alternative is that you lie with a noisy monitor next to your head. When you turn off the screen and turn off the VOX function, the speaker still turns off. This is activated by sound, but not if your child talks softly or sobs. Again, the alternative is to lie in bed with a whirring monitor next to your head. The camera's WiFi keeps dropping out (yes, even on a 2.4GHz WiFi network). If you reset the camera it works immediately again, but after an hour it often stops again. The app then also indicates 'camera offline'. Range is very poor, 1 floor lower there is still 30/50% range left, but sometimes it is suddenly gone. My old Motorola had almost full range at the same distance.
