Description
Create a powerful server and storage space with the Synology DS723+ + Seagate IronWolf 16TB (2x 8TB). This bundle has 2 Seagate IronWolf internal hard drives, of 8TB each. This way, you have a total of 16TB storage, which you can set up in various ways with the NAS. You can place the 2 hard drives in the NAS and start transferring or making backups in JBOD, RAID-0, or RAID-1. The Synology DS723+ is suitable for use with more than 10 people at the same time. The AMD Ryzen R1600 Dual-Core processor has a turbo speed of 3.1GHz, so all commands are smooth. Thanks to 4GB RAM, you experience little to no lag while working. Do you want some extra RAM? The DS723+ supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, spread over 2 slots. This provides an extra boost. Just like all Synology NAS models, you use the Synology Drive Server for the DS723+ and edit the storage space of the NAS from any connected device. The Seagate IronWolf drives have an average rotation speed of 5900RPM. This make your files load extra fast from your drive, without interruptions. In addition, 256GB of cache memory ensures that you can quickly open frequently used files. You instantly have 16TB of storage with this combination. This is enough for about 1600 Full HD movies or 200,000 hours of music. This product includes Seagate Rescue Services for 3 years of data recovery.

I bought this NAS for photo, video and business purposes. The installation of the drives is easy and fast. The software part takes a while, but then it works. I did expand the memory by 16GB, especially for video and photo transfers, which makes a big difference. The only downside is that the NAS is very noisy. Grunts and growls happily. So if you are sensitive to noise. Just put it in the attic or garage. The reason for this is that the drives hang in a plastic case.

Having owned a DS715 for years, I increasingly received a message that there was insufficient memory available. Given the good experience with Synology, I chose this brand again. With the purchase I went fairly "all-in", with M2 SSD for caching and extra memory to run virtual machines. The installation went smoothly and I am very satisfied with it.
