There are 10 user profiles. This way, everyone in the house makes coffee in their own way. Silent machine Fully automatic machines make a lot of noise when grinding the coffee beans. But this machine is much quieter than other fully automatic machines. The superSilent bean grinder largely dampens the sound. This makes it the quietest fully automatic from Siemens. It is also very sturdy. I notice this, for example, in the drip tray. The grid on the drip tray is designed so that no scratches are left behind. In addition, it is made of stainless steel, which makes it very heavy. Double bean container As a coffee lover, the double bean container is really cool. This way I can easily switch between 2 coffee flavors. Both bean containers have their own grinder. This keeps the coffee beans separated from each other. A blue light shows which reservoir you are using. This makes switching from one reservoir to another very easy. A downside is that it indicates just too late that the bean reservoir is empty, so you drink a weak coffee after which you only refill the bean reservoir. Home Connect app Thanks to Home Connect, I can also operate the machine via my phone. This is how I start the device throughout the house. If you do this too, don't forget to put your cup under the appliance. The advantage of this app is that I can still choose from 32 coffee varieties. In addition, I prepare a sequence of coffees with the coffee playlist for when visitors come over.

The advertised silence mainly refers to the grinding mechanism (and that's very nice!): the pump and the brewing mechanism produce an average (but still very acceptable) amount of noise. The only really bad news is for Cappuccino lovers: the milk remains much too cold, so you can forget about a nice foam layer. The official solution for this ('put semi-warm milk in the reservoir') is impractical and non-food safe.

I am allowed to try this device, very nice. I already had a Siemens EQ6 and was curious about this EQ9. The installation went almost smoothly, I only had some trouble placing the red plastic container in the right place at the brew group, this was not clearly described. When you turn it on, you immediately get a nice display with a nice image of water for rinsing. Significantly less water is used for this than with the older versions. The display looks clear and nice. You can choose your coffee types by swiping. And there is a lot of choice. You can personalize everything in "barista" mode. Very handy. You can also save this in your personal profile. The grinding system is very quiet, especially compared to older types. You do hear a little more noise afterwards when the water is pressed through the coffee. Because of your own attitude you have a delicious cup of coffee. We have tried different coffee variations, including cappuccino. The milk container is easy to attach, but I have not yet discovered how to put the milk tube in a carton of milk. The milk foam is nice and firm and here too you can set the coffee/milk ratio yourself, even whether you want the coffee in your glass first or the milk first. Cleaning afterwards is also easy. Cleaning and descaling the device is also very easy, the display explains step by step what to do. In short, a device with an excellent design, plenty of choice in coffee variations, which can also be set to your own liking. Definitely a device to recommend
